Connor is back to his crazy fundraising antics, and this time he is taking on Hadrian’s Wall (127 km/79miles) in one go!
Three marathons. One mission.
This Easter 2026, along with his friend Edward, Connor will be taking on Hadrian’s Wall, which is 127 km/79 miles (the equivalent of three marathons back-to-back), in one continuous push.
They’ll be running, walking, hiking, hobbling, and probably even crawling their way across the country . They will start before sunrise on day one and (with luck!) finish before sunset on day two.
Their goal is to push both their physical limits and raise awareness and support for Hope English School!
Why this challenge?
Walking Hadrian’s Wall has always been a dream for Connor. Initially, he was keen to see if he could push his grandmother along it in an off-road wheelchair, however the terrain (and countless stiles!) made that dream a bit unrealistic, but the idea stuck.
In Connor’s mind, it’s the perfect distance, long enough to test every fibre of willpower, yet achievable with planning, grit, and (hopefully) without causing permanent damage.
Training & preparation
Right now, Connor is recovering from surgery, once he’s cleared to train again, he’ll be building up slowly, starting with Parkruns and working towards longer runs and full marathons.
As Edward and Connor live in different areas, most of their training will be “in spirit, they’ll keep each other accountable and probably share plenty of moaning along the way.
It’s a big ask from zero fitness to peak condition in a short time. But Connor is determined (and possibly stubborn) enough to make it happen.
