Join Our Board of Trustees

Trustees are responsible for the governance of the charity and usually serve for a period of 3 years and attend one 2 hour meeting per term, with some more informal meetings and email correspondence on a more adhoc basis.

We are ideally looking for candidates who have experience in one or more of the following areas:

o   Lived experience of the asylum-seeking/refugee process, either in a frontline role or through direct personal experience

o   ESOL teaching and/or teacher training

o   Income generation, including through new business models and/or philanthropy

o   Strategic financial management and accounting

o   Organisational management and HR

o   An understanding of diversity and how excluded groups can be included in the organisations’ decision making and strategic direction
