Your donation will contribute towards providing high quality ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes, which will open doors for our learners. We’re committed to hiring fully qualified and experienced teachers and ensuring that our classes are tailored to meet the needs of the learners.
About the class you’re sponsoring
Our Open ESOL class runs every week. It’s a relaxed, mixed ability group, which is open to all refugees and those seeking asylum. We welcome those from different back grounds and with a variety of learning needs, whether they’ve just arrived or are more settled. The aim is to create community, build language skills and provide learners with the skills they need to make Sheffield their home.
What happens when you become a sponsor?
When you sign up, we’ll send you our welcome pack which includes Recipes for Hope our cookbook, filled with recipes contributed by our learners, teachers, and volunteers. Higher tiers of sponsorship will also give you the opportunity to attend on of our wonderful fundraising events free of charge and even get your name published on the ‘Thank You’ page of our website.
You will contribute towards paying for teachers and resources for the classes, and we’ll send you regular email newsletters about our work.
